This journey in particular was important to me. My family escaped from Russia during the Sovet Revolution and crossed through Siberia and Mongolia finally settling in China. The Trip spanned 3 months for me as I spent one month visiting family in western Russia on my mothers side near the border of Belarus. When I finally arrived back in the states I had 40 dollars left.
